Report of the General Assembly in Lisbon

The Department of International Academic Relations was created in 2007. The goal of the Department is establishing and maintaining of UCU international relations with institutions of higher education, state and non-government educational foundations and Christian organizations that are interested in development of joint academic projects.

The Department’s tasks are:

  • establishing and maintaining education and research cooperation with leading foreign institutions of higher education and international organizations;
  • developing and implementing together with international academic partners joint research and educational projects;
  • coordinating international academic contacts of other University’s departments.

To fulfill these tasks, the Department:

  • Coordinates and exchanges information and establishes contacts with foreign educational and research institutions, professors and lecturers;
  • Maintains database of international exchange programs, collects and distributes information regarding grants, and provides consultations to UCU professors and students;
  • Coordinates official visits of foreign delegations and individual specialists/professors to UCU;
  • Provides consultations to the UCU community regarding study, internship and research opportunities abroad;
  • Serves as a liaison for the existing partnership programs, foundations and representatives of international organizations that work in Ukraine;
  • Provides support and overall coordination of international students’ studies at the UCU.
